    1000s of aspiring models from all over the world applied to NDTV Good Times 2 months ago to be a part of the Kingfisher Calendar 2010. After a detail scrutiny 12 finalists were chosen among the auditions conducted in Mumbai, Delhi and Banglore. With dreams in their eyes and hopes in the hearts the finalists were taken to Goa at the ZURI Varca hotel where the Battle of the Bikinis begun. With unusual tasks, splendid photo shoots and fierce competition the girls fought to strike their best. Atul Kasbekar , Milind Soman and Shobhaa De along with celebrity judges ranging from Dino Morea , R Madhavan , Chitrangada Singh and Malaika Arora Judge the contestants across 9 weeks of nail biting tension.

  • Episode 7

    On this episode of the "Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl" the fight continues as the girls compete with one another to win the contest which is getting tougher by the day. The tasks today need them to look their best in the most uncomfortable and physically taxing situations. First up they are made to stretch and flex their muscles, as instructed by Payal Gidwani. Next task is to jump on a trampoline as photographer Sameer Parekh captures them in their best frame! Watch the episode to see which girls makes it to the next round and who doesn’t and a song performance by Anushka Manchanda who is also the guest judge along with Sam Parekh, Milind and Shobhaa.

    Bagging a page in the Kingfisher Calendar isn’t cake walk but on the contrary, quite an icy path to tread. On this episode the contestants are made to brave the chill as they emote for the camera standing in a tub full of ice cold water. Next challenge is to pose with eyes wide open under water as they are photographed by Anees Adenwala. The “hunt” continues with some buckling under and others taking one step closer to winning the “Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl” as judged by Malaika Arora Khan and Prahlad kakkar.

  • Episode 5

    From 12 short-listed contestants the count is down to 7. They’ve been groomed to look good, eat healthy and trained to be fit. But the winner must not just be a stunner in a bikini but also look her best when walking the red carpet. They are given the task of dressing up and showing their hidden talents to the judges. Also a photo-shoot with Dilip Bhatia where the girls give their sensual expressions as they pose in white bikinis on a bed. Judgment and elimination by Chitrangada Singh.     Having the perfect bikini body isn’t just about working out but also eating right. On this episode, the 7 remaining contestants get dietary lessons and role-play on camera using outfits and props provided to them. The photo-shoot in their new avatars is the deciding factor for who continues to be in the running for the “Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl” together with Upen Patel, Mahesh Hiremath, Nonita Kalra on the judges panel.

At stake is the garment for the next round so do the girls end up walking without clothes or emerge as true goddesses? On the second episode of the “Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl”, two girls get a make-over by Cory Walia and Aalim hakim. It isn’t all fun for the girls, they are put to yet another racking task: their stamina is tested as they go for a run on the beach with Milind and their first photo-shoot with R.Burman who has given them the theme “natural”.     The "Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2010" begins. With over a 100 entries to screen from, the short-listed contestants have finally been brought down to 12. In this episode, we show you the grueling screening process where the girls flaunt their ready-to-hit-the-beach bodies, first introductions and the venue of the "hunt": The Zuri Varca, in Goa which provides the perfect setting for the tasks the girls are put to. The girls are put to their first task: to walk on a 4-inch plank constructed on the pool wearing high heels. Unexpected reactions, tense moments and jitters are at their peak... Some walk gracefully, others trot not-so-gracefully and there were still some who twiddle and fall into the pool. There is no place for faulters... No room for mistakes... It isn't just about having the perfect body, here they need to look good at absolutely all times and perform the tasks to the best. Anchor Milind Soman and judge Shobhaa De together with guest judges R. Madhavan and Dino Morea decide who stays on and who is eliminated.
