What is Kingfisher Champions of the Day contest?
This is a prediction-based contest where participants choose 2 players (1 batsmen and 1 bowler) who they think will perform well on match day during the Champions League. Based on the players' actual performance, participants will earn points. Participants with highest points will be eligible for prizes on a daily basis.
How is Kingfisher associated with the teams?
Kingfisher is the Good Times partner of Deccan Chargers, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils.
Can I login though Facebook or Twitter?
Yes, you can log in through your Facebook or Twitter account to play. But please use the same login everyday of the contest to be eligible for the grand prize.
How do I play?
- Log in using Facebook, Twitter or iKing(Kingfisher World's membership)
- Click on 2 players - 1 batsman and 1 bowler (all-rounders can be picked either as batsmen or bowlers) who you think will perform well in the match on that day.
- Submit your picks by clicking the "Submit" button before the deadline.
What will be posted on my Twitter timeline once I participate in the contest using Twitter?
Every time you submit your entry to the contest, the following message will be posted in your timeline: @kingfisherworld I took part in the Champions of the Day contest http://bit.ly/9NtfE. KF Air tkts and merchandise hampers to be won.
What will be posted on my Facebook Wall once I participate in the contest using Facebook?
Every time you submit your entry to the contest, you can optionally choose to post the following message on your wall: <Your name> picked <Player 1> and <Player 2> in the Kingfisher Champions of the Day contest. Kingfisher Airlines tickets and daily prizes of team merchandise hampers are up for grabs. Kingfisher is the Good Times partner of Deccan Chargers, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils.
What are the contest deadlines?
Daily deadlines will be posted on the contest page alongwith a countdown timer to the deadline. Please submit your entries before the deadline. Entries received after the deadline will be considered for the next day.
Can I change my picks before the deadline?
Yes, you can change your picks any number of times before the deadline.
What happens if I do not participate every day?
Your last chosen picks will be considered every day and will earn points accordingly.
How do I earn points?
Players get points based on their performance. You earn points that your player gets. See the scoring Rules.
When do I get bonus points?
If your picks become champions, then you get bonus points as follows.
- 1 correct pick : 25 points
- 2 correct picks : 25 + 25 + 10 points
What are the prizes?
The participant with the highest number of points at the end of the contest is eligible for the Grand Prize which is 4 Kingfisher Airlines tickets.
There are daily prizes of team merchandise hampers. One is for the participant who picks the Champion Batsmen of the day and the second one is for the particpant who picks the Champion Bowler of the Day.
In case of a tie, the winner will be chosen randomly by a computer.
