1. All participants participating for the contest must be above the age of 18 Years.
2. This contest is open to all Indian nationals residing in India, except the employees, relatives & family members of United Breweries Limited (United Breweries) as well as other sponsor companies & their subsidiaries.
3. This contest commences on 21st April, 2009 and shall be valid thru 15th May, 2009 till 23:00 hours (both days inclusive).
4. The contest winner would be declared by United Breweries on the basis of random selection of a participant by the computer from among the correct entries received.
5. Mere participation in the contest by scratching a card does not entitle the participant a prize.
6. The decision of United Breweries as regards eligibility to win the prize in this contest will be final and binding.
7. In addition to these general terms & conditions, the participants shall also be governed by other conditions specific to the contest as may be imposed. In case of any such additional conditions are imposed; the same will be displayed on the website www.kingfisherworld.com.
8. United Breweries reserves the right to modify, discontinue or terminate this contest at any point without prior notice and shall not be liable to any person or entity for any such modification, discontinuation or termination. United Breweries will in no event be liable for any damages – direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential arising out of the use of, or payments based on information contained in the contest.
9. Winners will be directly contacted by United Breweries.
10. Prizes are neither transferable, nor en-cashable or exchangeable.
11. Each participant consents to the use of information supplied by the participant in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the participant, by United Breweries and their affiliates,.
12. These Terms & Conditions of the contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Indian Laws. Further, it is irrevocably and unconditionally agreed that the Courts of Bangalore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to entertain any proceedings in relation to any disputes in any way relating to or concerning this offer.
13. United Breweries Ltd. reserves the right to change, modify and cancel the contest/Offer at its sole discretion.
14. The contestants/participants shall indemnify and hold United Breweries Ltd., its directors, officers, employees and agents harmless from and against all expenses, claims, actions, liabilities,losses, costs or proceedings which may arise directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this contest as a result of any breach, non-compliance or non-performance of the terms of the contest.
15. Contest winners shall not hold United Breweries Ltd (UBL) laible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blockades due to political unrest or any such incidents.
16. Contest winners shall not hold United Breweries Ltd (UBL) liable for Cancellations due to Visa conditions not being fulfilled.
17. Contest winners shall not hold United Breweries Ltd (UBL) or its brands like Kingfisher or the tour operators liable for that UBL, its brands or the tour operator for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or defaults, or any other causes beyond their control.
18. The contest winner shall be fully aware that United Breweries Limited will not be in a position to provide any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons and they have been advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their personal capacity.
19. All baggage’s & personal property/s at all times are at the participants/contestants own risk.
20. UBL and its brands are not responsible for cancellation of any matches, and are not compelled to provide alternate match tickets, for participants who fly to South Africa.
21. Any change in plan/itinerary will be at the sole discretion of UBL, its brands and the tour operator.
22. Any additional charges applicable due to no show, late arrival, missing of the flight, extension in holiday shall be bourne by the contest winners.
